The decline in beer production in Bulgaria, especially after 1925, due to the heavy purposeful policy of the Bulgarian government for encouraging the wine industry forced the owners of breweries in Bulgaria to form a brewing cartel on April 3, 1927. The decline in beer production in Bulgaria was due to the heavy purposeful policy of the Bulgarian government for encouraging the wine industry. The decision of the cartel led to the closure of 12 breweries across the country, including the one that was located in Varna.
After that, “Galata” Joint Stock Company shifted its focus to other areas of business and eventually became a subsidiary of “Textile” Joint Stock Company – Varna. In the Lovech region, the corporation possessed an agricultural holding that included fields, vineyards, woodlands, parks, and mills. These properties were located in the villages of Mikre and Sopot.
