The museum of Nature and Science has the same location since its foundation in 1960. Its building is located in the sea garden, near the coast, just opposite the Palace of Culture and Sports. The exhibition of the museum is divided in three sections.

natural science

The first one is dedicated to the geological development of the Earth the origin of life on it. There are displayed fossils from different geological periods showing the fauna during that time. In the second section the visitors can see the various vegetation groups along the Black sea coast: seaweeds, plants in the salt soil and sand, dense forest, etc.

The animal life is represented in the third section. Here are displayed different vertebrates and invertebrates - from unicellular to mammals. What makes this museum so interesting is that the whole exhibition is organized on the principle of evolution.
