In 1901, films were show in Varna for the first time in this particular hotel - opposite Grozd garden-restaurant, near modern-day Odessa Hotel. In the summer, the primitive stage of Hadji Panako Restaurant welcomed the shows not only of the popular oriental-style groups of Benliayn and Ibis Aga, but also the performances of some of the greatest Bulgarian actors and actresses.
