The Varna Puppet Theatre’s mission is to popularize and expand the genre of national Bulgarian theatre. The compositions for young audiences are typically supplemented with theatrical performances for adults. The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Queen of Spades by Alexander Pushkin, and The Rose and the Nightingale by Oscar Wilde are three of the most charming and beautiful.

The Theatre unveils a new production each season. It has been recognized with a number of prestigious national and international awards in recent years for both the quality of its shows and the achievements of its performers.

The ensemble has performed in many different places throughout the world, earning them many new followers and acclaim as a shining example of Bulgaria’s artistic prowess.

The theater has participated in Varna, Bulgaria’s “Golden Dolphin International Festival of Puppet Theatres” annually since its inception in 1970.
